Fees
A non-refundable $50 deposit must accompany the sabbatical application.

Room and board is $1,500 per month (includes housing, meals and sabbatical activities directly related to the program).

Roundtrip transportation to the Evansville, IN, or Louisville, KY, airports is $50.

Regular academic courses are available for an additional fee. A variety of continuing education workshops, seminars and retreats are available at no additional charge to our sabbatical guests.

Financial Aid
The Reverend James Sweeney Sabbatical Endowment, established in honor of a beloved alumnus priest of Indianapolis, IN, awards at least one grant annually to someone participating in the sabbatical program at Saint Meinrad. While first priority for the award is given to priests from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, priests, religious and lay ministers from other areas are considered.

The Monsignor William Lautner Sabbatical Grant Endowment provides financial assistance to priests who wish to take a personalized sabbatical at Saint Meinrad. The endowment was established in memory of an alumnus priest of the Diocese of Evansville (IN) whose ministry spanned more than half a century.

Financial aid is also available for auditing courses while on sabbatical at Saint Meinrad. For additional information, contact Ruth Kress, the director of financial aid, at financialaid@saintmeinrad.edu.
