Library Policies
Circulation
Library materials can be borrowed by members of the monastery, and by students, faculty and co-workers of Saint Meinrad Archabbey and School of Theology. A library card is readily obtained with proof of identity. Loan periods vary with patron status. Library materials can be renewed by phone at (812) 357-6401 or (800) 987-7311, by e-mail at library@saintmeinrad.edu, or online by using the My Account feature of the library’s catalog.
Interlibrary Loan
Books and journal articles not available in the collection can be requested from another library through interlibrary loan. Most loan periods are 30 days, with one renewal generally possible. For more information, follow the Interlibrary Loan link.
Library Usage
Library resources are available to the general public on-site only. The staff is happy to help researchers locate necessary resources. A photocopier is available for public use.
Internet Access
The Library provides Internet access through computer stations and to laptop users. Patrons using laptops should bring a Cat 5 cable to connect to the Internet. The library does not currently provide wireless Internet access.
Hours
Library hours vary with the School of Theology’s academic calendar and the monastic and religious calendar. Please check the Hours link or call the library at (812) 357-6401 or (800) 987-7311 to verify current hours.
